E-DENIM: GREEN TO CORE

Last week, Calik Denim launched its newest innovation E-Denim – specially developed to increase the amount of recycled fiber in denim and to maintain the sustainable structure of the final product until the end of the product life cycle.

The aim is to keep the quality and recycled material content high as well as to provide traceability for all stakeholders. E-Denim has an incomparable structure, thanks to the specially developed and patented sustainable yarn, positioned at the center of the yarn.

The first step of this newly developed production technology is to wrap recycled yarn used as the core with recycled cotton. Then, Calik adds recycled Tencel to the yarn through which it achieves a maximum amount of recycled fiber that can be technically processed in ring spinning.
